This finely wrought clockwork mechanism emulates the properties of the Wu Xing compass in Wei-jin. When correctly used, it can temporarily still the Winds of Magic.
Single use. The bearer may use this item instead of making a Wizardly dispel attempt. If they do so, the spell is automatically dispelled with no Dispel roll required. In addition, all Remains in Play spells currently in play are dispelled, including spells cast by friendly Wizards.

How this item changes the Magic-phase picker's known-spell logic (see WizardMagicBuilder::magicItemEffects()) — leave as "None" for a plain item with no effect on spell selection.
